I also bought a used copy of Hitchens' Letters to a Young Contrarian.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35438180.post-3675231668865881722008-03-25T19:05:00.000-07:002008-03-25T19:05:00.000-07:00That's fine...And while we're on the subject of Ch...That's fine...

And while we're on the subject of China, I wonder if you could do me a favor and put your Berkeley citizenship to good use. I've been trying to track down an autographed copy of Mao's Little Red Book. Obviously I'd prefer a volume in good condition, but would consider one slightly worn with margin notes from a Cultural Revolution purgee, or blood stains. Or both. Anyway, see what you can dig up at the used book stores out there.

(There...ChiComs 2, Pelosi 1. Every once in a while someone's opinions throw me for a loop too.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35438180.post-11635669302069217942008-03-25T17:08:00.000-07:002008-03-25T17:08:00.000-07:00Oh please...Of course I'm not sympathetic to the C...Oh please...Of course I'm not sympathetic to the Chinese. I did take a shot at them as well in the post. However, when I looked at this the next day, I did think I went overboard with the photos and should have made the post more about them than her. Oh well.

But I won't let Pelosi completely off the hook. She'd get a lot more praise from me on Tibet if she hadn't spent the last 5 years undermining the freedom fight in a country where her fellow citizens were bleeding and dying.John Egelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10501263931902952330noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35438180.post-72087707876225667082008-03-24T15:53:00.000-07:002008-03-24T15:53:00.000-07:00John, I certainly hope you are not sympathetic wit...John, I certainly hope you are not sympathetic with the Chinese on the issue of Tibet? Aside from taking up terrorist tactics to get their message across, I strongly support the Tibetans getting rowdy to let the world know that they are still being oppressed. If Pelosi is loudly criticizing the Chinese, I can only congratulate her. If she or the president attends the Olympics this year, they should only do so with the Dalai Lama accompanying them.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
